| In the 1900's, Joseph Pilates introduced a method of body conditioning that he knew to be years ahead of its time. Today, his methods, our current understanding of body mechanics and the inherent relationship between mind, body and spirit are on the forefront of health and wellness. At Tone, we are creating a community of experienced practitioners and mindful clients who are continually training and continually seeking a deeper understanding of our being. We will personalize a program that will move you toward achieving your wellness goals. You are a vital part of your own health. At Tone, we want you to experience your own healing. We hope to offer you access to more tools that will promote long term wellness. We will work together on core awareness, strengthening and stabilization - abdominals, pelvis, diaphragm, back muscles. We will guide you toward optimum balance of flexibility and strength incorporating breath. This is not a high-tech system. This approach enhances mind/body awareness, increases efficiency of movement, promotes healing, and often translates in reeducating your being. All of this work is leading you toward a wholeness. It is for people who are recovering from injuries. It is for people of all ages and fitness levels. Tone is for anyone who wants to increase body awareness and create a path for wellness.
