Cardio/Dance

Beginning Adult Ballet - This class is aimed toward building strength, correct posture, and flexibility. Exercises will prepare the non-trained student to learn basic positions and movements. This is a great class for those who do not have any formal ballet training and want to start from step one. While technical, this ballet class will be a fun way to build a solid foundation, while also enjoying the art of dance. Sign up here

Zumba - Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" allowing Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba Fitness program and achieve long-term health benefits. Pilates

Intro to Pilates- This is the first class to take when beginning Pilates ad Tone. You will learn the basics terms and techniques necessary in order to take any beginning level class. You need to take this class only once but you are welcome to re-take if you need a review. Sign up here

Ball- A series of safe floor exercises based on the Pilates method. These include correct spine and pelvis alignment, breathing, concentration, core strength/flexibility and relaxation through efficient muscle usage. Ball classes utilize the FitBall. Sign up here

Gyrokinesis® - A typical GYROKINESIS® class begins with engaging the spine and pelvis through simple awakening exercises.  While seated, participants mobilize their body through a series of arching, curling, bending, twisting and spiraling movements with corresponding breathing patterns that stimulate the nervous system and open up energy pathways.  This is an excellent way to experience a new kind of organic exercise derived from the motions of swimming, dance, tai chi and yoga and can be done by young and mature alike. Those who practice GYROKINESIS® tend to be more relaxed in their daily lives, more comfortable in their body and can move with greater flexibility and ease.

Pilates Deep Stretch Class - A pilates mat class fused with deep yoga stretching, bringing length to the muscles. A great addition to deepen your Pilates practice. Focusing on spinal mobility, and improving overall flexibility. Each class will end with a relaxing restorative stretch. Sign up here

Pilates Springboards

Springboard - If you have taken the Introductory Private Session, or have taken 5 Pilates classes, then you can take springboard classes. Based on the same principles used with the pilates equipment, this spring-based, resistance training workout will improve your mat performance as well as offer variety to your 3-day-a-week Pilates workout schedule. Power Workouts

Bodeci Workout - The BODECI workout is a fusion of Pilates, yoga and creative movement that incorporates free weights, resistance bands and/ or the Magic Circle for an intense fifty-five minute workout. Classes include cardiovascular and muscular strength and endurance training with a focus on core, flexibility, balance and coordination. Bringing one set of free weights optional, but encouraged - 3 to 8 lbs depending on level. Sign up here

Boot Camp - Is an all body workout- moving from one exerciss to another with no rest. The workouts involve calisthenics like pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and other body weight exercises... the difference lies in the intensity. Yoga

Community Yoga - Yoga is for everyone. These times are trying and everyone has the right to seek inner peace. Each of our teachers has a different and important characteristic in teaching yoga. This is a donation only class. Half of the proceeds will be going to the Redwood Food Bank. Sign up here

Hatha Yoga - (with Clare or Jenn) - Yoga is union of mind, body, and spirit. Join Monica for this morning practice that begins with a brief meditation, progressing to variations of Sun Salutations and instruction of asana based on the Iyengar method utilizing props to feel the alignment of the postures (asanas). Meditative Chi Gong - Chi Gong is a form of exercise designed to tonify and energize the body. We will be doing a gentle form of Chi Gong suitable for any level of health. (Chairs will be available for people who do not wish to stand for a full hour.) In addition, we will be doing some self-acupressure which will complement the Chi Gong movements.
