After being active in dance and frisbee, Jae Newman focused on work and family for many years. In her late 40's she timidly joined a NIA class to start moving again and regain lost range of motion in one shoulder. Thus began a re-entry into the world of movement and confidence. One day in a Pilates class an unshakeable idea struck: "I could teach this!". Augmented by backgrounds in women's health & education, and by way of the YMCA fitness instructor training and Mercy Sidbury's Pilates mat certification program, Jae is delighted to have arrived at Tone to continue her journey of body awareness and encouragement. Jae is Equipment certified under the instruction of Monica Anderson.
