Class Descriptions
PILATES MAT CLASS – ALL LEVELS
A series of safe floor exercises based on the Pilates method. These include correct spine and pelvis alignment, breathing, concentration, core strength/flexibility and relaxation through efficient muscle usage.
BREATH-CENTERED YOGA
Join Monica or Patricia for a lovely start to your day. This class provides an opportunity to reclaim your focus and your breath with gentle movement. Move your spine in all 6 directions. Listen to your inner voice. Begin your day.
GENTLE YOGA
Join us for a breath centered yoga practice designed for folks wanting a gentler, kinder yoga class. You will enjoy yoga movements with appropriate guidance for our folks with osteoporosis and arthritis. You will move at the speed of your breath. Find a love for yoga!
YOGA FLOW
A breath-based poses (asana) class with an emphasis on linking poses together (vinyasa). Breath and flow!
PILATES MAT CLASS – SENIORS
A series of safe floor exercises based on the Pilates method with special attention to the needs of seniors . These include correct spine and pelvis alignment, breathing, concentration, core strength/flexibility and relaxation through efficient muscle usage. Osteoporosis cues will be included in instruction.
MID DAY MEDITATION
*Followed by a more specific breathing patterns to support your intentions (Pranayama)
*Once you are physically settled, a guided meditation will ensue
*There will be a gentle come back so you can continue with your day and week, clearer and centered.
