Allison was born and raised in Sonoma County and will always call this beautiful place home.
Watching her mother struggle with obesity, chronic back pain, and then losing a battle with brain cancer, led Allison to a life of promoting fitness and influencing others to make healthier decisions.
She has been taking yoga and Pilates classes since age 16 in a quest to keep herself healthy, pain-free, and feeling good about her own body. She has been positively influenced by many instructors from Tone, and now gets to share her love of mat exercise with others. She has had her YogaFit certification since 2008, and then graduated from Sonoma State University with her bachelors degree in kinesiology, exercise science (Pre-PT) in 2016. She then completed her Level 1 mat Pilates training at Tone and is continuing on towards master Pilates instructor status. She has hundreds of hours of clinical physical therapy experience and worked as a physical therapy aide before becoming a personal trainer/Yoga/Pilates instructor full-time. She has used yoga, Pilates and therapeutic exercise to manage her own chronic back pain from scoliosis, and therefore teaches a gentle, safe, and therapeutic type class.
