I just wanted to give a shout out to Heather who is an excellent teacher! I really like the way she so meticulously sets up each exercise and cues every part of the body. Plus she’s quite fun, too. I learn so much from each teacher. Mary Ellen W.

Heather danced her way out of the womb at an early age of two and had the neighborhood kids moving and grooving. It was clear early on that she would become a talented dancer. She transitioned easily into becoming a popular dance teacher in her late teens. In her early twenties she was experiencing severe low back pain as well as feeling at a plateau with her dancing and teaching. Seeking help, guidance and inspiration she was fortunate to meet Conna Lee Weinberg of Mindful Spine in Healdsburg who took her under her wing and introduced her to Pilates. She found her first Pilates sessions to be humbling and life changing. She quickly became a Pilates and body alignment enthusiast and signed up for STOTT Pilates training.
Initially, she entered training to enhance her skills as a dance teacher but quickly fell in love with all that Pilates has to offer and began teaching in 2005 at Conna Lee’s studio. Since then she has worked with physical therapists rehabbing patients, dancers and the general population.
In addition to her STOTT Pilates training, she has trained under the tutelage of Monica Anderson of Tone Fitness in Santa Rosa. She is also a Zumba certified and Barre toning teacher.
Her current achievements include starting her own dance studio, Synergique, teaching dance at Sonoma State University as well as creating Club 6 Being the Change, a dance party promoting positive movement for youth.
Heather looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm combined with extensive knowledge of the body and 15 plus years of dance, Pilates and fitness.
Her energy and contagious laugh will keep you smiling and moving!
