My name is Mo (Maureen). I was born many years ago in the north of England and lived there in various areas, for about 23 years. I worked in accounting, scheduling, and banking. In 1968 I moved to Hartford, Connecticut, where I worked for Barclays Bank for about five years.
I have been in California since 1973 and I love it here. It is my home. I went back to school here and got my bachelors degree while working for Levi Strauss. I was with them for 10 years, in Human Resources and as their Receivables Division coordinator with the MIS division. I actually knew I was computer savvy in those days. Now I rely on Alyson for the “techy” stuff.
I “retired” in 1984 to raise two fabulous daughters. In 1986 I started “Caila Handknits” both because I love knitting and needed something to do. I am a very restless soul. I still run the company but as I get older and prefer to travel and play golf I may soon have to retire the company also.
I joined the staff of Tone in 2000, as their Receptionist/office manager. I had known Monica for years as she taught my daughters how to dance. It has been a fun and exciting journey. I have worked in most areas of this small but growing company and have seen it grow. I now work part time twice a week. It is my home away from home. I love the people who work here and have found some great friends among the many Tone clients. Hopefully I’ll be around for a few more years and see more growth and more changes.
