Megan Brown-Herrera received her Pilates certification in 2013 and her advanced Pilates certification in 2015. As of October 2019, Megan has completed over 500 hours of certified yoga training. Megan is a full time veterinary nurse and hospital manager at Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue, but spends any extra hours she has teaching and taking Pilates and Yoga classes. Megan first started attending Yoga and Pilates classes as a client seeking to rehabilitate her back from multiple injuries. These injuries have continually caused her weakness and pain. She decided to be proactive in protecting her back by strengthening her core with Pilates and Yoga. She soon found that the movements and stretching she learned helped keep her pain at bay. Megan feels like Pilates and Yoga have helped save her back from further injury. She also believes Yoga and Pilates have made her a stronger, happier, and more confident person. Now, Megan wants to share her knowledge with anyone who will listen because she believes that with Yoga and Pilates everyone can be a healthier, stronger person.
