I like the calm, adult atmosphere. I like the members; feel at home here. I like the range of classes, and the 50-minute time spans of most classes. (When I first started, these seemed short and I wondered if I could get any decent workout in that time. I now appreciate that the limited span allows me to come during regular work days, so I probably come much more often than I would for 75 minute sessions.) I like the fact that most teachers offer options to make movements more or less strenuous depending on each person’s level, and that there’s always permission to modify if your body is just not up to it that day. I also like the attitude of the teachers, who are kind and helpful, and never critical or condescending.
The only people to whom I wouldn’t recommend Tone are those seeking a super-demanding, high intensity workout; I know there are some classes more like that, but I’m guessing that if someone wants rigorous competitive training, this may not be their cup of tea.
